Blac Chyna Asked To Pay More than $390k After Losing Lawsuit

Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian originally confirmed their relationship in January 2016. The pair got engaged after three months of dating and announced that they were expecting their first child together. Their relationship was documented in their reality series, "Rob & Chyna," from September to December 2016.

After the show was renewed for a second season, the sock designer took to social media to announce the couple’s split. Amid the on-and-off relationship, production of "Rob & Chyna" was put 'on hold' in July 2017. The network noted that the spinoff had 'not been in production for several months' as they planned to 'follow the Kardashian family’s lead' on what to do next.

Later that year, Chyna sued the Kardashians for allegedly interfering with her reality show’s future. The rapper’s attorney, Lynne Ciani, later offered an update on Chyna’s plans to go forward with the legal battle. However, jurors found that the Kardashian-Jenners were not justified in telling the makers of 'Rob & Chyna' that Chyna abused their son and her partner, Rob.

However, the court found that her fued with the Kardashians had no substantial effect on Chyna's contract or the show not being renewed, so no damages were awarded. Executives from the E! network testified that 'Rob & Chyna' ended because the couple's relationship ended, not because of any action taken by the Kardashian-Jenners.

Chyna,  who shares daughter Dream, 5, with Rob, and son King Cairo, 9, with Kylie's ex Tyga, believed that this incident, as well as the Kardashian clan's influence at E! likely resulted in the network driopping 'Rob & Chyna.' Prior to its official cancellation, the cable network had announced its plans to move forward with a second season.

The Kardashian-Jenners attorney, Michael G. Rhodes, filed paperwork last week to request the money Blac Chyna owes them following their defamation trial that she lost, and it’s a pretty penny. Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and Kylie Jenner are seeking more than $391,000 in costs related to the trial that brought the group to court for two weeks.

The petition shows the grand sum of all legal fees, including jury fees, deposition costs, "models, enlargements, photocopies of exhibits" and more which totaled more than $184,000, per the documents. Other charges include deposition costs, which totaled more than $63,000, as well as court reporter fees, which amounted to just under $20,000.

Blac Chyna lashed back at the Kardashians after they stuck her with their 'exorbitant' $391,000 bill for her failed lawsuit against them. Her lawyer, Lynne Ciani, told reporters that family matriarch, Kris Jenner, the grandmother of Chyna's daughter, is trying to 'financially ruin' her client, whose real name is Angela White.
While the jury did not completely exonerate the billionaire clan from blame, they did not feel Chyna deserved any damages and awarded her zero.
